| Description |
English: Pill Box at Wellow Brook. There are a few World War Two pill boxes on Wellow Brook, this one being one of the best preserved. Because the river is not very navigable it could be part of the GHQ stop line which stretched from Kent to Somerset. The pillboxes were placed to help prevent an invading army crossing a natural obstacle such as a stream. |
