English: Sitakunda, Chittagong is a famous Tourist Attractions in Chittagong. It is situated about 37 kilometers away from Chittagong. The place presents a unique site and is an interesting place to visit. Sitakunda is also a name of a railway station in Chittagong.
Sitakunda in Chittagong is considered to be a famous temple. Among the many temples in Chittagong Sitakund is a must visit place. You will find Chandranath Temple and the Buddhist Temple has a footprint of Lord Buddha near the Sitakunda at Chittagong. The Sitakund is situated at hilltops and are mostly regarded as the sacred places of visit. The site of Sitakunda, Chittagong is regarded as magnificent also. Sitakunda, Chittagong is visited by mostly the Buddhists and the Hindus. It is considered to be a religious place. In addition to that the temple serves as a pilgrimage. In the temple premises various religious festivals are celebrated. If you are lucky you can have a wonderful time at the Siva-chaturdashi festival which is held every year in the month of February. The temple site provides you opportunity to worship the deity of your belief. Thousands of pilgrims assemble at the Sitakunda, Chittagong for celebrating the festivals that have both Hindu and Buddhist significance. You can take a glimpse of the salt water spring which is not very far from the Sitakund.
