Photograph of a pile of green boughs in the street of the Hopi Indian village of Mishongnovi for the kisi or kiva for the Snake Dance, ca.1900-1901. About 4 people and 4 burros are present. Ladders lean agains the adobe dwellings of the village. A small stone structure near the pile of boughs may be a well or cistern. What appears to be a dog is standing on the roof of one adobe at left.
