עברית: שובך היונים הישן בגבעת ברנר

Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_72501_11.jpg Notes: שובך היונים בגבעת ברנר נבנה ב1948 והופעל בידי יחידת היונאים של חיל הקשר בצהquotל להעברת הודעות עד 1953 עד שננטש. יוני הדואר שימשו ליצירת קשר מהיר עם יישובים מנותקים ולוחמים. השובך הוקם על ידי חבר הקיבוץ שמעון הנדלר שמונה לאחר תום מלחמת העצמאות למפקד יחידת היונאים בצהquotל כשאהרון לנדסמן גם הוא בן הקיבוץ טיפל ביונים. מבנה השובך עשוי מבלוקים ובטון ויש בו גומחות למגורי היונים. ב2008 הוכרז המקום כאתר מורשת מטעם המועצה לשימור אתרי מורשת בישראל. באפריל 2016 נחנך מבנה השובך המשופץ.
