The works site of the Railway Line Jerusalem-Tel Aviv, Sep. 2016. It was a technological challenge, in mining tunnels tens of kilometers long inside the mountain, building some of the highest bridges in Israel and digging 80 metres below street level

Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_71705_20160923_113301_2.jpg Notes: במסגרת סיורי בתים מבפנים בירושלים שהתקיימו בספטמבר 2016 נערך סיור באתר העבודות של תחנת קו הרכבת ירושלים - תל-אביב. מנהלי האתר סיפרו על האתגר הטכנולוגי והמורכבות ההנדסית שבכריית מנהרות באורך עשרות קילומטרים בתוך ההר בניית גשרים מהארוכים והגבוהים ביותר בישראל ובניית תחנת הרכבת הגדולה והעמוקה ביותר בישראל. הסיור כלל כניסה למבנה התחנה וירידה למנהרות הרציפים בעומק 80 מטרים מתחת לאדמה.
