Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_68701_DSC04545.JPG Notes: בהוראת ויקטוריהאחות יליזבטה הוצאו עצמות יליזבטה מהקבר ברוסיה והובאו לירושלים שם הן נקברו בכנסיית מריה מגדלנה ב-15.12.1920. כנסייה זו נבנתה בשנת 1888 לזכרה של מארי נסיכת הסה אשתו של הצאר אלכסנדר השני וכן דודתה הגדולה וחמותה של הנסיכה אליזבת. אליזבת עצמה נכחה בטקס חנוכת הכנסייה והביעה אז את רצונה לבלות את סוף חייה שם ולהקבר במקום. היא נקברה בקריפטה יחד עם הנזירה המלווה הנאמנה לה סנט ברברה וב-1981 הועברו שרידיהן בחגיגיות רבה מהקריפטה לארונות זכוכית ושיש לצידי במת הכנסיהויקיפדיה
