Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_66523_DSC02959.JPG Notes: מחלת הסרטן לימפומת הודגקין נקראת על שמו של דר תומאס הודגקין.נולד ב 1798 בלונדון היה מרצה לפתולוגיה מאוד מערך .בשנת 1932 פרסם את המחלה הנושאת את שמו. הוא הקדיש את עצמו לרפואה מונעת ופעולות פילנתרופיות כמו הגנה על זכויות האבורגינים האינדיאנים והילידים באפריקה. היה ידידו ורופאו האישי של סר משה מונטפיורי .בעת ביקורו בארץ ב 1866ביחד עם מונטפיוריחלה דר הודגקין ביפובדיזנטריה ונקבר בבית הקברות הפרוטסטנטי בעיר. מונטפיורי בנה על קברו מצבה בצורת אובליסק מגרניט מלוטש.-ויקיפדיה.
