Original Image Name: Piciwiki_israel_62507_8.jpg Notes: מפעלי ים המלח היא חברה העוסקת בהפקת מחצבים באזור ים המלח. החברה נוסדה על ידי מדינת ישראל ב-1952 על בסיס חברת האשלג הארץ-ישראלית שהוקמה ב-1929) והיא מפיקה בעיקר אשלג, ברום ותרכובות ברום. החברה מספקת לחברה הבת "מגנזיום ים המלח" את חומר הגלם להפקת מגנזיום. החברה היא אחת מיצרני האשלג והברום הגדולים בעולם. מאז 1968 נמצאים מפעלי ים המלח בבעלות חברת כיל, חברה בת של החברה לישראל, הנשלטת על ידי עידן עופר.
