English: Saffron Farm in Sireni Netzer
עברית: חוות שפון בנצר סירני ,Original Image Name: חוות שפון בנצר סירני ,Notes: ב1889 חכר הכומר הגרמני, יוהאן שנלר מייסד בית היתומים שנלר בירושלים, שטח מהטורקים בין רמלה לנס ציונה. בשנת 1895 נחפרה באר ביר סאלם. ב1897 הוקם בית ספר חקלאי בניהול הגרמני מתאוס שפון. המקום נקרא חוות שפון. במלחמת העולם הראשונה התמקם הצבא הטורקי, וב1917 נכבש על ידי הצבא הבריטי עם אלנבי , שקבע בחווה את מפקדתו. ב 1939 הגרמנים גורשו והשתכן בית ספר לקצינים של הצבא הבריטי. ב 1948 עזבו הבריטים והוקם במקום קיבוץ נצר סרני. עד 2005, היה במקום בית הספר היסודי, שהתאחד אז עם בית הספר בנען.
