English: The Peace House in Emmaus Nicopolis
עברית: בית השלום באמאוס ניקופוליס ,Original Image Name: בית השלום באמאוס ניקופוליס ,Notes: המבנה הלבן, בית-שלום נבנה ב 1931-1932 על ידי נזירים. נמצא מעל אתר ארכיאולוגי ב-1948–1967 גרו בבניין משקיפי או"ם . בית השלום הושכר ב-1993 לקהילת בני האושר. המתחזקים את המקום- מנזר ייחודי של אוהבי יהדות. במאה ה-3 לספירה נקראה העיר שבמקום ניקופוליס . ב 165 לפנה''ס ניצח כאן יהודה המכבי את צבא ניקנור. בשלטון הרומי העיר הפכה לכפר יהודי קטן. במאה 3 לספירה נוסדה במקום קהילה נוצרית גדולה. במאות 4 ו-5 נבנו שתי כנסיות גדולות . האתר נהרס עי הפרסים במאה ה-7 לספירה ושוקם בידי הצלבנים במאה ה-12 .(מאתר המקום) ,Location: מנזר אמאוס ניקופוליס
