עברית: עקיבא אריה וייס היה הוגה רעיון הקמתה של השכונה "אחוזת בית". הוא עמד בראש הוועד עד 1911.

וייס תכנן בעצמו את ביתו, שנבנה על טהרת העבודה העברית מלבני מלט. הבניין היה בן קומה אחת ובשנת 1927 נוספה קומה שנייה. בשנות ה-90 נרכש ושומר ע"י חברת "אפריקה ישראל"., Original Image Name:בית עקיבא ארייה וייס, Notes:במהלך השחזור התברר כי בשינוי שערך וייס בבית בשנת 1927 לא נהרס הקיר המקורי, אלא נבנתה סביבו מעטפת חדשה. לתדהמתם של המשפצים נחשף קיר לבני המלט המקורי משנת 1909.
