| Description |
English: Pigg's Grave. Pigg's Grave is a small copse, located near where the Aylsham to Fakenham road (B1354), the Holt/East Dereham road (B1110) and a minor road called Gallowhill Lane meet on the north-west edge of Melton Park > 989910. It has the distinction of being the highest point in Norfolk, standing 101 metres above sea level; a triangulation pillar is hidden amidst the vegetation > 1123002. Pigg was a highwayman who is presumed to have been hanged on Gallowhill Lane and is believed to be buried here. |
