Description
English: Engraved self-portrait of Pieter de Jode II (1606-1674), after a painting by Thomas Willeboirts. Pieter de Jode II was an Antwerp artist belonging to a well known dynasty of talented engravers. He worked closely with famous artists like Anthony van Dyck and Peter Paul Rubens. This portrait dates from around 1650.
