Description
Nederlands: Schenkkan van zilver. Het eivormige, gladde vat, met gegraveerde band in het midden, wordt aan de onderzijde gegrepen door zes klampen en rust op een ronde voet. De tuit heeft de vorm van een draak. Gemerkt: F ENRIQZ.

De zilveren schenkkan bevond zich in de lading van de Spaanse zilvervloot die Piet Heyn, in opdracht van de West-Indische Compagnie, in 1628 veroverde. ‘Deze kanne is gekomen uyt de Silvere Vloot verovert bij den Heer Luyt’ Admirael Pieter Pieters Heyn den 6 sept. 1618’, werd naderhand onder de voet gegraveerd. Het jaartal 1618 is een foutje: dat had 1628 moeten zijn.
