Description
Français : Pierre tombale découverte sur la route de Brié, près de l'ancienne chapelle au lieu-dit "Saint Christophe". La chapelle, fort ancienne et à l'origine incertaine, semble avoir été le premier édifice religieux édifié à Vaulnaveys-le-Haut, bien avant l'église du village. Cette pierre tombale comme la chapelle datent de la même époque entre le VIle et Xle siècle. Ce monument pourrait être une ancienne borne utilisée par les Chevaliers de Malte (croix de Malte sur le dessus) qui avaient établi une maladrerie (léproserie) au domaine des Alberges. Placée sur la route de Brié à Vaulnaveys-le-Haut, sans doute pour interdire l'accès du village aux lépreux et les obliger à prendre un autre chemin: le chemin de la Mélaterie (transformation du mot maladerie) pour les conduire aux Alberges.
