Description
English: Carved stone with the inscription "Presidio civibus" (=for the protection of the citizens) from the gate of the Jews (1552-1556). On the other side of the stone exterior of the town was carved "Terrori hostibus" (=To terrify ennemies). Museum of history in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin, France).
Français : Pierre sculptée avec l'inscription "Presidio civibus" (=pour la protection des citoyens) provenant de la porte des Juifs (1552-1556). Sur l'autre coté de la pierre extérieur à la ville était sculpté "Terrori hostibus" (=pour la terreur des ennemis). Musée historique de Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin).
