Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Green-veined white butterfly (Pieris napi) Found in damp areas these butterflies feed on Ladies Smock, Garlic Mustard and Charlock. The caterpillars feed on leaves and seedpods. The green veining on the outer wings can be confused with the female Orange Tip butterfly - this was evident this afternoon when an Orange Tip was in hot pursuit of this mating pair who were flying from plant to plant on the edge of Sutton Bingham Reservoir!
