Description

This is what I heard on a southbound 402 on a New Flyer C40LFR. The stop announcements are synthesized (think text to speech) and are badly compressed making them sound like they were recorded underwater. I don't know if it was my choice of seating location, but they were difficult to hear (in reality it was a little bit better than in the video due to the microphones direction/sensitivity).

This one says "Next stop ___, Military Road". Side note: it's the first time I've heard anyone say that street with its suffix. The display did not display the name of the road; it just scrolled the date and time throughout the whole trip.

When the stop request cord is pulled, the bell is heard (same as Translink's but not the same as Metro's) and a lady announces "Stop requested". It seems that there are two recordings in place: this lady sounded surprised and/or upset, whereas the other one is purely informational. I've only heard the informational lady on the PT operated ST Express routes (MCI's only).

Later that night I rode a northbound 402 on a C40LF and heard the informational lady. However this time there were no stop announcements from the deep sea diver (the recording) or the operator. But I did hear two PSAs for ORCA cards with part of the PSA being shown on the LED display.
