It isdistant from Dungloe nearly five miles ; the road lies throughToberkeen, passes a pretty sheet of water connected by a shortstream with Lough Nageeragh, then skirts the beautiful LoughIllion (the best brown-trout water in The Rosses) and terminateson the sands of Magherv Bay. This is a very charming spot :there is a capital stretch of sand offering excellent bathingfacilities, and at Termon is some fine rock scenery. TemplecroneRectory, situated close to Maghery Bay, is to be let furnished.Lough Anglish, an excellent brown-trout lake, and some capitalshooting arc within a mile of the residence. It is an ideal spotfor a restful holiday. From Maghery the way to Croghy Headlies in the direction of the Martello Tower : not at all a difficultclimb, the elevation of the Head being only 800 feet.
