Donegal, the contorted rocks along the west side ofthe north water of Mulroy Bay, the intrusive hillocks of trap rock. 26 PICTU RESOLE DONEGAL. and the grand outcrop of granite on the northern edge of thedistrict, will furnish matter for interesting research and specu-lation. The botanist will be delighted with numerous orchids tobe met with ; and among other rarities are included : SamolusValerandi, Pyrola Media, and Osmunda Regalis. Wild flowersabound and the more sheltered spots hold them all the year round.To the student of marine fauna, the shores of Lough Swilly andthe adjacent Atlantic Ocean offer infinite variety ; while theethnological student will be interested in the weaving looms (ofthe pattern dating back to the days of the Pharoahs), the spinningwheels, the Corraghs (or wicker boats), etc., etc. The visitor making the complete tour will proceed to TheRiver Lennon via Milford.
