Ardaravillage, which is one of the most popular angling centres inDonegal. In addition to being an excellent centre for the angler,Ardara is very convenient as a base from which to exploreseveral places and objects of great interest to the non-sportingtourist ; the accommodation at the Nesbitt Arms Hotel is quitecomfortable : cars are available for all parts, and the proprietorspaies no pains in making the visit of his guests both interestingand instructive. The village is situated on the shore of LoughrosMore Bay, close by is Loughros Beg Bay, and inland the shelter-ing heights of Monargan, Mogumna and Glengesh hills arebacked up by Mulmosog (1,157 feet), Crocknapeast (1,652 feet),and Croaghvehy (1,228 feet). One of the most interestingexcursions is to Slhuetooey (1,458 feet) : a car road skirts thebeautiful Loughros Beg Bay for some considerable distance, butthe mountain itself and the grand cliffs with which it terminatesabruptly in the sea must be explored on foot.
