The pecan ispr-ibably the most valuable nut, having a large rich kernel, veryoily and of delicious flavor. Some trees produce 30 to 50 bushelsof nuts, which are an important article of commerce. In many localitieshundreds of these trees grow upon an acre and occupy hundredsof acres, interspersed with a few trees of larger growth.
