Photos from the Davison County, SD, Field Day held on September 15, 2015. The Field Day featured aerial seeded Cover Crops and drilled cover crops in several stages of growth. The NRCS and SDSU Extension experts and the farmers who hosted the tour spoke on their overall experiences, details for aerial application, coated seed, cover crop strategies including seed blends characteristics and grazing of cover crops, and plant identification. In this image, landowner Paul Hetland outlined his cover crop strategy and success with no-till farming systems. The event was organized and sponsored by the Davison Conservation District, Millborn Seeds, Prairie States Seed LaCrosse Seed, SD No-till Association, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the SDSU Extension Service.
