Transcript InfoField | The Palazzo Vecchio is a castellated building, dating from 1298-1314, from designs by Arnolfo di Cambio, which was extended and reconstructed at various times in the 15th and 16th centuries. Formerly the seat of the Governor of the Republic, and subsequently the residence of Cosimo I., it is now used as a Town Hall. The Loggia di Lanzi is a magnificent open vaulted hall, erected in 1376, at one time used as the forum or public meeting-place of the Republic. |
