| Description |
Italiano: Piazza Paolo Borsellino di Catania. Oggi stazione degli autobus, un tempo propaggine verde del vicino Giardino Pacini e in parte molo di età medioevale. La piazza venne ricavata nella prima metà del XX secolo, annullando di fatto lo sbocca a mare della città e sottraendo ad essa una grossa parte del vecchio giardino, seppellendo anche i rami del fiume Amenano che qui trovavano il loro sbocco. Dalla piazza si vede la lunga fila di archi che costituisce il viadotto ferroviario Archi della Marina, nonché il profilo degli edifici che si affacciavano sul mare, tra cui Palazzo Biscari e la Cattedrale. |
