Description
Italiano: Piazzale Italia, Foggia.

Nella grande piazza, divenuta uno dei simboli della città, troviamo il monumento inaugurato dal Re Vittorio Emanuele III ad opera dello scultore Amleto Cataldi. L'idea della fontana associata al monumento in memoria di soldati Caduti in guerra fu una vera novità in Puglia. Rispetto al bozzetto originario, l'opera subì un vero e proprio intervento censorio: il vescovo vicario Fortunato Maria Farina, espresse con manifesti e lettere il suo dissenso circa la rappresentazione di nudità.

La richiesta fece scalpore nell'ambiente artistico nazionale.
