Description
English: Astor & Horwood piano (mahogany, Brazilian rosewood, ebony, ivory, and gilt iron), c. 1820. It belonged to Alfredo Keil who, in 1890, used it to compose the patriotic march A Portuguesa, which was adopted as the Portuguese national anthem in 1911.
Português: Piano Astor % Horwood (em mogno, pau-cetim, pau-rosa, pau-santo, marfim, e metal dourado), c. 1820. Pertenceu a Alfredo Keil que nele compôs, em 1890, a música da marcha patriótica A Potuguesa, adoptada como hino nacional português em 1911.
