Description
Français : Au revers de cette monnaie romaine, Isis Pharia tient un sistre et une voile de bateau face au phare d'Alexandrie.

Avers inconnu  : Empereur Hadrien ? période : 117-138 ap. J.-C. On trouve plusieurs revers semblables avec la mention LIH sous Hadrien (le signe L indique la date) Il existe des iconographies d'Isis Pharia semblables sous Antonin le Pieux mais avec d'autres dates. Base de données de référence sur les monnaies grecques (époque ptolémaïque) dans "Search All" taper pharos www.sylloge-nummorum-graecorum.org/

Le culte d'Isis Pharia, la divinité protectrice des navigateurs et du phare, était célébré dans un temple qui lui était dédié sur l'île de Pharos.

Au sommet du phare représenté sur la pièce de monnaie, se trouve une statue, identifiée comme celle d'un dieu, celui-ci a changé au cours des siècles : Zeus durant la période ptolémaïque, Poséidon ou Hélios durant la période romaine.. (voir l'article de Wikipedia).

Il semble que sur cette pièce le dieu représenté au sommet du phare soit Poséidon / Neptune car il est entouré de deux tritons et qu'il tienne un trident.
