INTRODUCTION TO fHRENO-GEOLOGY ARTICLE I If we trace the phreno-organs of man from their threedifferent roots at the base of the brain, (see engraving,) and studi-ously notice the character of the super-additions, we shall findthat as the organs rise in each of the three classes, they assumehigher moral and intellectual functions, — they tend to producemore complicated actions, and require more extensive andvarious knowledge.
