Description
English: A cycle depicting the Photosystem II S-State process also know as the Kok cycle. This diagram shows that P680 absorbs 4 photons total and initiates the electron transfer. The electron transfer is mediated through tyrosine and it then passed onto the Mn in its various oxidation states (S0-S4). This cycle also indicates when hydrogen is released, 4 in total, and the length of each reaction step.
