Description

Zoals toegezegd hier het geheel zelf ontworpen pand van de beroemde Dordtse Fotograaf Tollens (1864-1936) Rechts de studio. Deze was voorzien van een flinke glasgevel om voldoende natuurlijk licht in de studio te hebben. De studio is, net als de vorige die ik heb laten zien, naar het Noord Oosten gericht. Zo voorkwam hij dat een keihard zonlicht een onwerkbare situatie veroorzaakte. Net als bij schilderstudio's ontstond er zo een mooi natuurlijk licht. Het pand is gelegen aan het Vrieseplein in Dordrecht.En heeft een mooi uitzicht op de oude vestingsgracht "De Vest" en Vriesebrug. Één van de brugjes die toegang gaven naar het voormalige achterland. Maar dan moet je een paar eeuwen terug in de geschiedenis. Het pand werd later vanaf 1923 bewoond door fotograaf Beerman.

As promised the self designed building of the famous Photographer Tollens (1864-1936) a former inhabitant of Dordrecht. At the right site the studio. It was provided with a big glass façade in order to have enough natural light in the studio. The studio is just like the previous one, which I have shown, facing North East. So he prevented a hard sunlight causing an unworkable situation. Just like a painter's studio there was such a lovely natural light. The property is located on the Vrieseplein in Dordrecht.The building has a nice view at the old moat "The Vest" and Vriese-Bridge. One of the bridges that led to the former hinterland. But then you have to go back a few centuries in history. The property was inhabited by Photographer Beerman later in 1923.
