On the otherhand, caricature photographs with largefigures and small heads are obtained bylowering the mirror to one-third of theheight of the sitter. If the camera,which in the previous experiments hasbeen placed exactly opposite the head ofthe sitter, is placed sideways, the person/ will then appear curved. A silveredglass globe of the largest diameterpossible, such as is found in many gardens,may be used as a convex mirror.
