Rückseite: TI ΦΛ EVKΛ[EI]ΔOV - ΦΩKAEΩN EΠ[I]. Stehende weibliche Figur (Personifikation der Stadt Phokaia?) mit Mauerkrone in der Vorderansicht nach l. In ihrer ausgestreckten r. Hand hält sie eine Schale (phiale). Kommentar: Nach Titulatur des Kaisers und historischem Kontext ist die Prägung in den Zeitraum 113-115 n. Chr. einzuordnen, so Tanriöver (2010) 121 f. Anm. 4, dagegen RPC III 235. Die Identifikation der weiblichen Personifikation ist nicht gesichert, da die Stadtgöttin Phokaias auf vergleichbaren Prägungen ein Tympanon hält. Für den erwähnten Beamten Titus Flavius Eukleides stellt der Typ in Phokaia den einzigen Beleg dar. Die vorliegende Münze ist nicht singulär, ein weiteres Exemplar befindet sich im Archäologischen Museum Izmir (Inv. Nr. 21543, unpubliziert). Literatur: A.
