Summary
[edit]DescriptionPhase 1 Eaton Centre and demolition of old Eaton's Main Store, James Street, circa 1975.jpg |
English: View of Eaton Centre and Salvation Army building on east side of James Street circa 1975. Phase 1 of the Eaton Centre (from Dundas Street to Albert Street) opened in Feb. 1977, at which point the old Eaton's Main Store was demolished to make way for Phase 2 of the Eaton Centre, which would extend to Queen Street West. The demolition of the Main Store is visible in this photograph. The Salvation Army building was demolished two decades later to facilitate an expansion of the Eaton Centre. Toronto, Ontario, Canada. |
