Description

Vine Moth f The males have a brush at the end of their abdomen but the females do not.

As a diural flying moth, it flies early in the morning and again in the evening, when the light is softer.

While it is a native it is classed as a pest to grape vines.

Wikipedia tells us "A native of South Eastern Australia and named in 1805 by John Lewin the official artist for New South Wales. "John William Lewin (1770 – 27 August 1819) was an English-born artist active in Australia from 1800. The first professional artist of the colony of New South Wales, he illustrated the earliest volumes of Australian natural history.[1] Many of his illustrations were of native Australian birds on native Australian plants." en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Lewin
