Peyaju frying in a Bengali food store at Amtoli Bazar Dhamrai

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Peyaju or Peyaji is a popular snack in India and Bangladesh made with lentil pest, onion, chilli, salt and a few other seasonings and then deep fried in an oil bath (Korai). Bengali translation of onion is 'Peyaj', as a lot of onion is used in this food, that is why it is called Peyaju.
