Description
Español: Muestra de Roca metamórfica (Metapelita), vista al microscopio con un aumento de 5X (diámetro de 4 mm) a nícoles cruzados. Destacan los cristales de granate inmersos en una matriz de micas, cuarzo y minerales opacos.

Posee textura lepidoporfidoblastica, la cual tiene relación con las micas entrecrecidas y homogéneamente orientadas. Ademas tiene esquistosidad,lo que se identifica con la orientación de granos de micas en paralelo. Se asocia un grado intermedio de metamorfismo, con condiciones de Temperatura y Presión de medio- alta. En cuanto a la mineralogía observada en el corte (mineral, % , rango de tamaño): Granate,10%, (≈1 mm - ≈2,4 mm) Biotitas /Micas, 40%, (microcristalina) Cuarzo, 40%, (microcristalino)

They emphasize the garnet crystals immersed in a matrix of micas, quartz and opaque minerals. It has lepidoporfidoblastic texture, which is related to the micas entrecrecidas and homogenously oriented. It also has schistosity, which is identified with the orientation of grain micas in parallel. An intermediate degree of metamorphism is associated, with medium-high temperature and pressure conditions. Regarding the mineralogy observed in the cut (mineral,%, size range): Garnet, 10%, (≈1 mm - ≈2.4 mm) Biotites / Micas, 40%, (microcrystalline) Quartz, 40%, (microcrystalline) Opaque minerals, 10%, (≈0.7 mm)
