портрет купца Лесникова

По всей видимости, это портрет купца Петра Васильевича Лесникова. Возможно посмертный. Умер Лесников в 1848 г., а портрет датируется 49-м. Петр Васильевич Лесников, занимавший в разные годы должности директора от купечества в Государственном коммерческом банке и члена Санкт-Петербургского городового магистрата, был устроителем и содержателем Александринской сыпной больницы (1845 г.). За обширную благотворительную деятельность Петр Васильевич был награжден медалями, орденом Святой Анны и удостоен звания потомственного почетного гражданина. После его смерти директором больницы с 11 января 1849 года стал его сын Иван Петрович, потомственный почётный гражданин и купец 1-й гильдии.
