Deutsch: Mit den aus den Stereo-Bildkanälen des Kamerasystems HRSC auf der ESA-Raumsonde Mars Express erzeugten digitalen Geländemodellen lassen sich perspektivische Ansichten der Marslandschaft erzeugen. Durch eine Verstärkung der Kontraste in den Farbdaten treten subtile Material- und Texturunterschiede deutlicher zutage. So zeigen die beiden zehn und zwölf Kilometer großen Einschlagskrater in der Bildmitte eine doppellagige Auswurfdecke. Bei näherer Betrachtung lassen sich sogar einzelne Schichten der Mantelablagerungen an den Hängen der vielen kleineren Vertiefungen links im Bild erkennen, bei denen durch Erosion die zuvor geschlossene Manteldecke durchbrochen wurde. Die ebenfalls geschichteten Kraterfüllung deuten auf eine Mischung aus Eis und Staub hin, die in der Kratermitte zusammengerutscht sind und so ihre konzentrisch linierte Oberflächenstruktur erhalten haben.
