Description
English: Ft. Wingate, N.M.— Pershing Missile Launched —The Army's Pershing missile leaves smoke in its wake as it is launched near Ft. Wingate yesterday. The supersonic ballistic artillery missile impacted six minutes and 250 miles away at White Sands, N.M., missile range. The launch was the first of five shots over sparsely populated areas as the Army tests the Pershing for use by field troops.
