Description
English:
Pergola at the F.S. Allen bungalow in Altadena, 1910
Photograph of the pergola at the F.S. Allen bungalow in Altadena, 1910. The pergola, partially covered with vines, provides shade for the front porch. A man (George Wharton James?) is sitting on a swinging bench supported by chains attached to the pergola. Below him is a rug. Nearby him are a rocking chair, a table, several vases, and a contraption that appears to be a bird house(?). A faucet (at left) extends from the wall next to a set of double doors. A house, trees, a variety of plants can be seen in the background.
