 whole: The poster is double-sided. Side 1: the six images occupy the majority, each held within a narrow black border. The title and main text are separate and positioned across the top edge, in black. Further text is integrated and placed over the majority, in black and in red. All set against a white background. Side 2: the image occupies the majority. The title is separate and positioned in the upper quarter, in black. The text is integrated and located in the lower quarter, in red. All set against a white background. image 1: in the first image, the character of Percy Vere walks down a flight of stairs. In the second image, Percy trips over a cable and falls head first down the stairs. In the third image, Percy remonstrates with a welder who left the cables on the stairs. In the fourth image, Percy wakes up in bed the next day and discovers that he cannot see. In the fifth image, a nurse wraps a bandage around Percy's eyes. In the final image, Percy reads the words 'Don't watch welders at work' in a book written in braille. image 2: a depiction of a cartoon character based on a desk lamp. The artwork was created by a commissioned military artist during their active service duties in the First World War.
