whole: The poster is double-sided. Side 1: the six images occupy the majority, each held within a narrow blue border. The title and text are separate and placed along the top edge, in blue, and bottom edge, in black. Further text is integrated and located in the upper left and lower right, in black, in red and in white. All set against a white background. Side 2: the image is placed in the central third, partially set against a white inset. The title and text are separate and located in the upper quarter and lower quarter, in white, in blue and in red. All set against a black background. image 1: the first image shows the character of Percy Vere, indicating a sign, stating 'Don't Leave Your Litter Lying About', to a small group of dogs at his feet. The second image shows Percy beckoning the dogs to follow him. The third image is of Percy building a wooden crate. The fourth image is of Percy placing the dogs in the crate. The fifth image shows Percy standing on a wooden board, with nails embedded in it, that springs up and hits him from behind. The artwork was created by a commissioned military artist during their active service duties in the First World War.
