Nederlands: De 1e fase van de bouw van de O.L. Vrouwetoren was van 1463-1481. In 1540 kreeg de toren een achtkantige platgedekte lantaarn. Later werd de toren voorzien van een uivormige spits. In 1815 sloeg de bliksem in en brandde de toren uit. Stadsarchitect Klinkert herstelde de toren in 1828 waarbij de lantaarn het huidige koepeldak kreeg die de toren de naam Peperbus opleverde. Bij de restauratie van 2002-2005 werd het carillon met 4 klokken uitgebreid tot 51. |
