Title
People Disembarking from Steamer "Kooraka"at Glenelg Jetty
Description

1. People on beach bathing in water - possibly a sailing race on./Index 1581A captioned: Glenelg 29-12-1930, Showing Crowd Disembarking from Steamer. See also GN08413. 2. Ron Blum advises Karatta (553 tons) incorrect could be Kooraka (299 tons) Coast Steamships - called into Glenelg on day excursion trips. Smaller than Karatta. 3. A comparison of GN08439 and GN08413 (the 'Karatta') with authentic pictures of the 'Kooraka' and the 'Karatta' Ron Blum provided shows that this ship is definitely the 'Kooraka 'and not the 'Karatta'. The title has been adjusted accordingly.

There is no evidence of people being on the beach or bathing, or a sailing race. That description applies to GN08413.
