Summary
[edit]DescriptionPenrhyngerwyn farmhouse, 1973 - geograph.org.uk - 345965.jpg |
English: Penrhyngerwyn farmhouse, 1973 Note that the name is 'Penrhyngerwyn' not 'Penrhyngerwin' as appears on some maps. 'Gerwin' is plausible (then 'Penrhyngerwin' = 'Rough peninsula') but this is more likely 'cerwyn' (mutated to gerwyn) meaning 'tub', probably a reference to a scoured hole in a nearby fast flowing river. |
