Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Penpol Creek This now largely man-made inlet ends below the railway viaduct. It is known to have been an important commercial waterway as early as 1769 and up until 1818 both major companies in Hayle, the Cornish Copper Company and Harvey and Co. carried out improvements to the waterway and quayside and disputed the rights of the other to use it.
