Summary
[edit]DescriptionPennine Bridleway erosion - geograph.org.uk - 885343.jpg |
English: Pennine Bridleway erosion The summer rains of 2008 have washed away much of the surface of this stretch of the Pennine Bridleway national trail. A 395-yard length of Tunshill Lane above the Piethorne Valley has been closed whilst repairs are carried out. This section was always an exciting descent on a mountain bike and now I suspect it takes on a "black route" cachet. However, this eroded surface is lethal for equestrians and less than pleasant for pedestrians. |
