English: Penllywn Tramway Bridge (Pont Dramffordd Penllywn) Viewed from the Sirhowy River, Wattsville, Caerphilly, South Wales. Penllywn Tramway Bridge, has recently undergone a complete restoration process. It is designated a 'Grade 2', listed structure. Built in 1824. It's main feature being the 13.5 metre long single arch. It originally carried winch powered tram/coal buckets ferrying waste from the local Risca mines upto the slag heaps on top of Mynydd Machen Mountain |
