| Description | Impressive entrance to the Penang Bird Park, Butterworth. After hearing many local Penang folks assert that their bird park is 'better than the KL Bird Park' etc., I decided to check it out. Yes, the number of birds here is much, much more in number and variety than in the KL Bird park, no doubt about that. But unlike the KL Bird park which is sprawling, beautifully landscaped, and has an extensive net running overhead throughout the expanse of the park, with several free ranging birds walking about, the Penang Bird park is really small. And rather cramped and congested for the sheer number of birds it holds. (Butterworth, Penang, Nov. 2013) |
